LU-LA is a brightly-coloured, impish, and adorable alien who crash lands in Mossingham Forest by accident and ends up stranded at Mossy Bottom Farm miles from her spaceship. Playful, inquisitive and very lively, LU-LA finds a kindred spirit in her new friend Shaun – when this mischief-making duo teams up, all sorts of chaos ensues! Equipped with impressive extra-terrestrial abilities including mimicry, telekinesis and an earth-shattering burp, LU-LA soon has the Flock enchanted. Shaun decides that they should help find her UFO so that she can return home (and of course he knows he’ll have fun doing it…) But the hyperactive alien’s appetite for mischief lands Shaun in a whole heap of trouble!
A natural rule-breaker, Shaun’s love of fun continues to lead him into mischief in this movie. While his motives always come from a good place – Shaun just loves to seek out new experiences – he doesn’t always think about the consequences of his actions…to Bitzer’s eternal frustration. But we see another side to Shaun too; a more responsible, thoughtful and sensitive Shaun whose friendship with LU-LA leads him not only into Space but also on a personal voyage of discovery as he learns that every flock and every family needs someone they can truly rely on.
It’s not easy being Bitzer. With Shaun testing his patience more than ever, Bitzer is forced to employ a hard line with the Flock, enforcing a new set of rules to restore some semblance of order on the farm. Always armed with his checklist, Bitzer can sometimes let his frustrations spill out – after all, not only does he have Shaun to contend with, but the Farmer always seems to have some harebrained scheme up his sleeve, too.
This poker-faced agent heads up the murky ‘Ministry of Alien Activity’. With her slash of red lipstick and sharp suit, Agent Red means business and no UFO sighting escapes her steely glare.
Agent Red’s robot side-kick skitters about on its rolling tracks, locating and storing anything that looks like extra-terrestrial evidence. Adding all findings to its in-built filing system, this robot can get rid of evidence too – a nifty shredder is also included in this model.
Encased in their trademark yellow suits, this band of faceless operatives works under the command of Agent Red to fulfil her UFO-impounding, alien-capturing schemes. Completely anonymous and accompanied by the sinister crackle of their walkie-talkies, the Hazmats are tasked with collecting evidence and monitoring the goings-on in Mossingham via a bank of all-seeing cameras.
Shaun’s farmyard friends are an amiable bunch who can’t help but be swept along by Shaun’s hunger for adventure. They’re willing participants in his latest schemes, even if that involves one of them being fired from a cannonball! So when Shaun brings his alien acquaintance to meet them, they quickly get over their shock and welcome this curious new arrival into the fold.
